Champion Systems Wind Guard Vest sizing

Can anyone comment on the sizing of this?

I'm a 38" chest and normally take a medium size. However, CS size chart suggests a size M will accomdate up to a 42" chest for this garment, which seems a bit on the large size. I don't want to end up with a flappy gilet! Can anyone help? Unfortunately, I am unable to try before I buy.

    The size chart makes it fairly easy to work out, doesn't it?

    It's not saying a M is for a 42 chest, it's saying the garment measures 21 pit to pit, if you measure one of your current jerseys/jackets, I doubt very much they'll measure 19 pit to pit. I prefer sizing charts like this as it takes the guess work out of ordering.

    FWIW. I'm a 40 chest and my Gilet measures 22 pit to pit and it fits snuggly over a long sleeve jersey.

    If it helps I use the same size (small) for all their stuff including the wind guard gilet which fits perfectly, no flapping at all.
