Rigid mtb fork

I'm using a GT Avalancge 3.0 to commute on, purely roads.
Was looking at swapping the fork for a rigid one to save a lot of weight. Looking at around 2kg saving.
Any recommendations? Is it worth the upgrade?
I've seen the below on ebay which looks like it ticks all the boxes and very cheap. Although could save extra weight going for carbon.

Top budget would be around £100.
Thanks in advance.

For £100 look to exotic carbon or on-one, they occasionaly sneak under, your forks would have to be VERY heavy to save 2Kg, 1-1.5 is more likely.
The Mosso are a good compromise, get good reviews.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
I've had a Mosso on my commuter for a couple of years now. It does the job.0

Will have to look at the exotic ones.
Is there different types of fitting for disc brakes?.
mtb is totally different to road. Soo confusing.0 -
There are 2 common (like 99.99% of the market) fitting, IS (holes parallel to to the axle) and PM (threaded holes pointing backwards. Most calipers are PM mount and use an adaptor to fit to an IS mount fork, or use a PM to PM adaptor to fit to a PM fork using a larger than 160mm disc.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

These are the current forks:

And these are the rotor:

so the mosso would work with an adaptor?
Just looked and parker international sell them i think.0 -
You will may need a new adaptor. Does your Suntour have the Post mounts like in the picture? I'd go for it, will save 1850g!0

Yep looks like its post mounts then.
Will have to figure out what adaptor is needed0 -
What size rotor do you have?0

Just checked. They are 160mm.0 -
If your going for the Mosso forks get the 2013 edition instead of the 2011 edition. They have a larger axle to crown length which is better suited towards replacing suspension forks, unless you want to see the height of your handle bars drop a few centimetres.0

Thanks for the advice. All been very usefull. I think I'll go for the one below, which is 2013 version and also post mount for the rotor.

Those forks Mosso are coming from China. Could you be liable for extra tax duties?0

In theory (law) yes as they are over £40, in practice no as they are usually sent gift minimal value.....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Thanks for the help everyone.
Ordered up the mosso 2013. If I get made to pay customs, works out about £10 which isn't too bad.0
