Slim overshoes

Hi all,
I recently changed my road bike, and the new chainset (Shimano R600) means that my shoes are quite tight to the cranks. No problem normally, but with existing Pro tarmac overshoes, I get the most irritating squeak as they rub on the cranks, particularly when the overshoes are wet. I never had this problem with old Tiagra chainset. It's driving me nuts, and it seems the obvious solution is to buy new overshoes that are slimmer than the Pro tarmacs (which are quite chunky). So any recommendations for overshoes which are reasonably warm and preferably waterproof, but nice and slim?
Thanks in advance.

I have a pair of Assos S7 overshoes which are very thin but keep my feet roasty toasty. On the coldest UK days I wear a pair of thermal hiking socks to make sure - perhaps overkill on my part but I hate cold feet on the bike! A bit of a sod to get on is their only down side to note (not unusual with overshoes!). And the price - usual Assos problem!!

I had the same thing happen on Sunday!!! Was on my first ride on my new bike with overshoes on, riding along, "squeak squeak". Looked down thinking what the hell is that and fearing the worst. Stopped pedaling and the noise stopped, started pedaling, squeak squeak. Realised it was the overshoes! Nearly March now, thinking this problem might not need to be solved until October!Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

Thanks Peter - good to know re the Assos, but yes, pricey...! I'm thinking that Supermurph has it right and just wait for the weather to turn and then worry about it next autumn! Although I can't imagine it actually getting warm at the moment.0 -
