I want to get some Schwalbe Muddy Mary's for my downhill bike but I'm a little confused by compound choices.
What's the difference between trailstar & vertstar?
Will they be as tough as dual ply maxxis tyres?

Thanks. Looks like I need vertstar.
Any idea how tough Schwalbe downhill tyres are?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I use muddy Mary's as do a few guys at uni and schwalbe tyres in general and they are all great and seem very tough. I've got a vertstar/pace star combo and it works really well. Gatestars are a mix of compounds, the centre rolling tread is similar to pace star but the shoulder tread is taken for vertstar so you get very good rolling with great cornering grip. T'is a shame it's only available on Ralph's and Nobby Nics would be awesome on a Hans dampf!0
