    you probably deserved it
  • Wonderwall by Oasis is not, in fact, about a piece of well constructed masonry, or a place in Jerusalem.

In "The Bad Touch" by the Bloodhoud Gang, the lyrics "let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel", does not mean you should go buy a run down car and then get your really tall mechanic mate to fix it up before selling it on for less that the value of the time you put into it. Nor does it mean you should go crab fishing. Well, not in the literal sense anyway.

"Long Road to ruin" by the Foo Fighters is not about the A525 or the A548.

Although 'The Road to Hell' by Chris Rea is apparently about the M25.
"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]

Hotel California by the Eagles was never about a hotel in California but is actually about one just round the corner of Kings Cross Station in London which they stayed in during some early 70's tour of the home counties.

    Cosmic.

Meat Loaf: 'I would do anything for love, but I won't do 'That''

The 'That' to which he is reffering is actually 'stopping bloody singing'.
How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

In addition, in Bat Out of Hell, "I'm laying at the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun" is not a reference to how he disposed of the body during his trip to Portugal a few years back.
