Quick compatibility question. 5700/6700

Hi guys,

Being new to working on my road bike can anyone confirm that Shimano 5700 shifters will work fine with an Ultegra 6700 rear mech? (both 10 speed) Re-search online suggests it should be fine but I just want to make 100% sure.

Unfortunately my chain broke and the rear mech got 'sucked up' and trashed.

    Yeap, no problem there. Rear mech could even be a 9,8 7 speed. It's the shifter that controls the shifting.

    Thanks, now I just need to find a rear hanger for a Jamis Ventura Race 2011.
