Looking to stock up on some inner tubes, for MTB(new Nerve al 8....opps another bike)

I'm wondering whether expensive tubes are better than cheap ones?

Example: On-One inner tube £1.79
Vs
Schwalbe SV/AV13 £3.95

Not in my experience. I stocked up on On One ones, and they have been fine, plus have red dust caps to make you go faster.

I use CRC airwaves ones, puncture them just as quickly as any more expensive ones! Tubeless soon methinks...

CRC or btwin cheapos for me, but I've just realised that the rims on my new bike are tubeless ready so think I'll try that myself when a new set of tyres comes calling

You don't need tubes or tyres then....or even wheels :P

As for the OP, go for the cheap ones.

That is just silly If I didn't have wheels, where would I put my spokely dokelys?
Seriously, think before you post rubbish.

But Contis come with yellow dust caps and they make go even faster!

I use heavyweight ones - freeride / downhill spec which are more expensive and I don'tget punctures. I gues the extra weight will slow you down but the SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN observation that yellow and red caps add speed - then adopting that LAW of PHYSICS by using at least one red and yellow will take you through the sound barrier.

Absolutely. Anyway yellow is a happy colour, and only belongs on hippy type rigid SS. Not real bikes.

Surely they repel? So if you had a red one and stuck a yellow one onto the opposite side of the rim, you'd never need to pedal :)

Genuine slime aren't too bad, many cheaper copies are rubbish....but they are HEAVY.

I went for the overkill maxxis downhill tube 2.5/2.7 stuffed in to a 2.3 tyre ,never punctured , touch wood.

Please....i have PLASTIC ANODIZED EFFECT RED ones....the lighter weight and the shiny-ness takes you beyond the speed of light.

CRC Airwaves tubes me and my mate bought a box of 10 each and neither of us has punctured since. So buying a big box of tubes guarantees no punctures it must be the magic green valve caps.

But of course the vital question is, do they lock?
