I am building up a bike from a Kona Caldera 2009 frame. I aim to keep the drivetrain as original or near original as possible. I understand that it used deore components. I have found a new Deore Cassette HG50. What is the HG50 bit about? :oops:

Is the shimano code for the model - Hyperglide series 50.

HG is hyper glide, 50 will be the grade.

Well I am upgrading certain things, the forks, BB, brakes, seat and post, stem, bars, pedals, wheels etc. However I am new to this and I'm not sure what is/isn't compatible.
