720p HD for £79.99, although you'd need to spend an extra £25 quid for a waterproof case, but at half the price of a go pro it might be worth a look. No idea on frame rates but might take a wander to my local store this lunchtime to see it.
Anyone have one?

Looks good but possibly not as tough as a Go Pro. Maybe better suited to xc than DH.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Looked in the shop today. Couldnt see the actual camera as the boxes were sealed. The waterproof mount is a little bigger than the Gopro one, suggesting that the camera is too - not much but a little. It looks like it shares the same mount as the Gopro - you might want to check this as one of the keys with the gopro is the range of mounts available. If it doesnt fit then there is no specific chest mount or bar mount for the Decathlon one.0

Did you get to see what mounts it came with?0

Comes with a bar and helmet mount. The remote looks good. Im thinking I may get one to play with and report backA Flock of Birds

Sweet, may do the same if I have time to get to my store.0

Difficult to tell without seeing it, and it might sound obvious but check that when the waterproof case is on you can still get full access to the buttons & all functionality of the camera. By the looks of the picture, the on/off button is slide operated, which suggests you can't turn it on & off on the fly when the waterproof casing is on it.Norco Sight Killer B

Just got one as an impulse buy....
sitting at my desk charging, they didn't have the waterproof case so have to order it online, it may be that i will order the remote as well.0 -
YEs - you can start/top recording or take a still with the waterproof case mounted but cant turn the power (or sound) on or off. I am guessing that it may time out when not recording and re-awaken at the press of the buttons though?0

Got some shots with it today.
pros - light, you don't notice you have it on. Easy to use with gloves. nice wide field of vision. Video seems decent quality most of the time (720p @ 30fps)
cons - image quality blurs a bit at the edges when going fast in low light (in this case single track through pine forest) loads of wind noise picked up.
Overall I'm happy for £79.99, although you need a micro sd (£10) and you'll probably want the waterproof, shockproof, case (£25) so the total investment would be more like £115. but still half the price of a go pro, although it would probably be comparable with the original go pro HD.
ETA: Picture quality is much better if you connect it to a hd tv rather than a crappy laptop!0 -
Upload some video then man!0

Bit of advice needed. Looking at some of the file data and the bitrate is 4063kbps. Is this the expected rate for dealing with 720p HD or does it mean that my current SD card isn't up to the job?0
-
You should have a class 10 card for HD video. My GoPro HD outputs 720p at 12,000kbps.0
-
Card is class 4, bum.0
-
i run a class 4 card on my camera and it does 13,000kbps at 720p,might just be a duff card,Giant Reign 2

The waterproof, shockproofcase arrived last night. Very robust bit of kit and it should help with wind noise. If the class 10 card arrives before the weekend I should be able to get a proper test of it.0
-
Did you get a chance to try it out with a faster card?0
-
I'm still keen to see how this turned out.0
-
Bought the card but no new vids yet due to the snow, plus the camera is now in Italy with a friend on his skiing trip. I can put one up later with the cheaper card for reference.0
