I recently fitted these Clarkes pads
£8.99 from CRC for 2 pad carriers & 4 pads. Bargin, im really happy with performance0 -
You could do better than Shimano; Koolstop and SwissStop both spring to mind...0

Just fitted some koolstop salmons0

Got the clarkes pads as well a few months back from CRC but have to say they wear at an alarming rate. I know the conditions have been poor but I will pay a bit more next time.0

I got these a couple of weeks ago
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifeline-profes ... ts-4-pack/
They seem to be performing very well in wet and dry conditions. The ones I received weren't black though (Chrome) :x0 -
you don't even have to buy the full pad and shoe - just get a replacement block and insert them into the existing shoe - swisstop greens are the best ones for all round conditions with ali rims, a lot cheaper than dura-ace for what is a consumable"I get paid to make other people suffer on my wheel, how good is that"

Hi all
I'm looking to change my brake pads on my Triban 3. Had it for nearly a year now, but feel its time for some new brakes.
I am looking at these Koolstop Salmon/black,
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/kool-stop-dura- ... e-inserts/
Will these fit my bike? Or if not which type do I need of the Koolstop ones?
Thanks in advance for your help0 -
Yeah they'll fit.
For those that have fitted the Clarks pads - do you find these noisy? Not squealing, like a loud rubbing/whirring sound0 -
Thanks mate!0
-
I got the kool-stop duraace fitted onto my T3 - much better braking now - phew0

I am going to put Salmon on the front the black on the back, it does rain a lot where I live!
I am contemplating buying another set of wheels and winter tyres/ mud guards and use the bike through the winter rather than my mtb. Any tips from those that's done it?0
