KMC Awesome customer service

Thought I would share my very positive experience of customer service from KMC http://www.kmcchain.eu/

I run single-speed on vertical drop outs, and I can get away without any chain-tensioner device if I fit a half-link to my chain (changing the length by 1/2"). I needed to replace the old chain, so looked for a new half-link as well, but no one in the UK seems to stock it. On the off chance, I contacted KMC directly using the email address on their website asking about other suppliers. Pretty much immediately I got a response asking for my address and offering to send one (from Holland).

This morning, a package arrived through my door, containing a half-link and one spare, plus chain-scuff protectors and a KMC keyring, all free of charge and postage paid.

Brilliant customer service, thanks KMC!

I had a similar experience with KCNC. I had one of their cassette's on my MTB and the lock ring came off and was lost on a ride. No one in Canada stocked one, so I contacted KCNC directly and they sent two to me free of charge including the KCNC tool used to fit it. Great customer service and will gladly buy from them again.

Sorry; misread that as KFC. Thought you were going to say they'd thrown in a free side order of beans with your family sized bucket of deep fried rat.
