I have bought a frame to build up into a cx bike.

http://imgur.com/QGvRExQ I bought this frame for 99p and want to strip it down to re-spray. How do I do it?

Take to a powder coasters, they will likely have a paint stripper / acid bath. They will often do it far better and cheaply as well a proper job prior to paint.

Otherwise using nitromors, which is a nasty job to do.

+1 - Triple S will do a perfect job for bugger all money.

Or Nitromors/equivalent - but as above, its yucky. Not particulary difficult, just yucky.

I presume that as you are not in prison that you don't have an acid bath, so that's a non starter.

Or track down a friend or local engineering firm with a bead blaster - 10 minute job, perfect surface for painting on.
  • Triple s?

thanks for the help. would a car garage have an acid bath? or a body garage??
