This is my current drivetrain config:
Crankset: Full Forged, 22/32/42T
Bottom bracket: Sealed Cartridge Bearing Square Taper
Front Derailleur: Shimano TX-50
Rear Derailleur: Shimano Altus, 24 Speed
Shifters: Shimano Altus Trigger shifter, 24-speed
Cassette: Shimano HG31, 11-32T 8-speed
Chain: KMC Z-72

Could you please suggest an upgrade to a better system that won't be too pricey?

Thanks,

    Yes

Buy it as a group and it's likely to to be way cheaper. Try Merlin Cycles or bike-discount.de

What bike are you upgrading? Based on the original spec, unless you've already upgraded forks and maybe wheels, your money might be better spent elsewhere.

  • Its a Fuji Code 2 Police. I'm adding a Rockshox X32 fork, and Shimano MT15 wheelset with Hans Dampf 26 x 2.35 Snakeskin tires.

The Hans Dampf tyres are massive, I think they will be too big for the XC32 forks.
They also really drag in mud, mine lasted five or six rides before I got rid of them. Nobby Nic's would be much better suited to the bike.

What's wrong with the system you have? What do you hope to achieve?

    Shimano CS-HG73 Chain (114 links)
    Shimano CS-HG81-10-speed Cassette (11-34T)

I thought the hg73 chain is 9 speed and wouldn't work with 10 speed cassette ?

    Needs to be a HG74 10 speed chain not a HG73 9 speed
