I have a pass for several hours on Saturday so will at some point link in Cragg & Lee Quaries but I need to end up at some friends house, plastered in mud and begging the use of their shower around 4.30pm to coincide with the end of a kids party and left over cake!
They live about 2 miles out of Hebden Bridge and I need a gnarley way to get there from the other side of the hills on the Rossendale side.
Has Facit quarry been marked yet or does anyone from that way on know a decent way over that doesn't iclude a massive road ride?

Up to Sharneyford from Bacup (main road or old road running up parallel), Flower Scar road to I think Tower Causeway, drop into Tod, pick up one of numerous bridleways back up the hills, personally i'd go north, follow bridleway to Hebden. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
I wanted to avoid the road if possible, I know the MTL goes that way at some point. I might pick that up.
edit:- MTL goes miles out, I'll give that a miss. Might investigate a route through Facit quarry.Advocate of disc brakes.0
