You do realise your blatant jealousy just makes you sound like a pathetic juvenile idiot?

Not wishing to make you feel completely inadequate as you obviously have plenty of issues. But ironically not only am I taller than you I'm also lighter.

Thanks for your attempt to derail my build thread though you're obviously a stand up chap and a real asset to the community.

I finally got a chance to take her for a ride on Thursday while the sun was shining. Rides as good as it looks. Something I was a little concerned about as all the other Carbons I test rode before the R5 didn't feel as well planted as my Enigma Ti. But the Cervelo is superb, literally dances up hills.

I so want this, but not sure I could justify spending 2k on one of these frames..

It must of felt good to ride it for the first time, I can't wait to ride mine. First sportive next week but I'm afraid it's in Kendal and they still have snow so will be riding the winter bike still... Build looks great.

Cheers mate, you must be climbing the walls waiting to give yours a spin? Took her hill hunting today. 65 miles and 5366ft biggest difference is how much fresher I felt towards the end compared to my Ti bike on a similar run. Can't wait for the summer season :)

Question is how much do you weigh?

No it isn't. But if you have a question on the build I'll be happy to answer.

Yep. Climbing the walls doesn't come close.... I live in a very hilly part of the uk so i don't have to go far to make it work on its first outing... Hoping to put the winter bike away and start riding the r5 in the next few weeks. But as I write this its dumping with snow outside :-(

That, I would love to see! Quickstep, tango or a bit of krumping?

(I am sure you don't actually mean "literally").

Stunning machine my friend, next on my list of wants LOL. Love my S5 Team to bits apart from when there is a cross wind then it gets a bit like riding a sail boat, you get used to leaning into winds mind you.

Had her in the workshop Thu to have the steerer cut, fork expanding bolt fit, and gears reindexed. Also added some new accessories 2 * Arundel Mandible bottle cages in Oil Slick black & a Garmin out front mount.

    She's finally complete :)

    R52.jpg

Took her for a solo century ride to make the most of the weather and she performed admirably:

    Thanks Nap.

I've made a few more changes since last photo:

Switched the saddle to a Carbon Braided Antares, also swapped the 3T Stealth stem for the 3T Carbon Team version. Last but not least added some new wheels :D

Very nice although personally I think the c24's suited it better..impressive all the same though.

    Exactly this.

I have no idea what's going on here.

Not sure if it's my imagination but greasey types with big 'motor' bikes keep appearing intermittent with scantily clad girls. Not beauties but you know fine. This is advertising but I don't know what.

Not going to buy a Harley.

Gotta agree my friend, with the C24's she looked stunning but the C50 aero wheels are more suited to an aero designed frame. I was toying with the idea of sticking some C24's on my S5 but don't think it will look right and love my Fulcrum Red Wind 50's too much :D

Aah - my OCUK brethren :)

The guys have it right, it's a stunning, lightweight climbing machine. It looks best with climbing wheels. Beautiful by any standard though.

You know Big George approves ;)

Thanks guys, no real updates. Still loving every minute on the bike. Since being built 6 months ago she's covered more than 4000 miles and nearly 300k ft.

I had a custom model with the C50's on made:

Here she is a few days ago before tackling the Fred Whitton Four Seasons challenge, apologies for the non OCP photo:
