Hi all,

I am toying around with the idea to build a fixie from scratch. I am thinking of starting with a Dolan Pre-Cursa track frame. Do you thinks this will be suitable frame for a fixie?

It's a fixed wheel frame - so I'll say 'yes'.

A brilliant fixed bike it will make as well. Mega value frame.

Thanks for the assurace. I have never ridden a fixie/track bike before, so this is all new teritory to me, I thought the Dolan Pre Cursa looked like a good frame but as I am not a cycling expert I was not sure about the quality or suitability.

I got a Dolan FXE frame for a single speed. I liked the fact it had eyelets for brakes. I've ended up making it single speed rather than fixed, with brakes, as I was more comfortable that way.
