People in the past have recommended "super" magnets for use with cadence on bikes - think they were bought from Amazon - can anyone remind me what they are called or a link to the seller please
Thanking you all in advance

Just a little bit smaller than the hole in the crank where the pedals screws in. These magnets only work if you have steel axles in your pedals.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

You might not have to move the sensor - they cover quite a distance! Certainly you don't have to worry about aiming the magnet at the mark on the sensor. I just left mine where it already was.Faster than a tent.......0 -

Maybe - it depends! Just wave a spare magnet across the sensor to check that the battery works first. The angle of the sensor also has an effect. The range isn't enormous but if the magnet was previously adjacent the spindle then it stands a good chance of working. And if it doens't, doubling up might help.
Oddly, there was no magnet on the spindle of my Ribble the other day. I did swap the pedals recently and haven't used a computer that is set to display cadence on it until this weekend so I might have just put the magnet somewhere. But otherwise it fell off!Faster than a tent.......0 -

Magic? Don't be ridiculous. Magnets are produced through a specialised mining process which ensures that each extracted magnet retains a little bit of the earth's gravity.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
