Chainring replacement

A spectacular chain snap at the weekend has left my right buttock looking like I have been whipped :D

This has caused me to examine rather more carefully all parts of my drivetrain...spend 90% plus time in the 50T ring - should it be quite worn out after 9k miles? (some nasty gritty winter miles in there) - pretty shark toothy even accounting for the profiling

What you and your other half do with the chain is not suitable material for a family website

As this is anything but, we'll have the expectation of videos posts on here later ;-)

sounds about right, you'll need to find out the BCD and whether it is a double/trip and order away..

If you can imagine an angry looking welt that resembles a giant zipper across my arse with red and white alternating bits the size of chain links that is gradually being surrounded with yellow and purple bruising you are on the right lines. I should take a photo you are right it is rather splendid

Thanks for validation on chain ring life gents just wanted to check I wasn't miles out on what my eyes were telling me

That's very good mileage. I've eeked out nearly 10k miles or so from Ultegra, but my 105 50T seems to be made of softer metal. Or cheese. Or maybe I've just got steadily more awesome over the past couple of years.

    But, yeah, good mileage.

    "Exactly."
