Hi, I would like some advice on the bryton 50.
I am looking to buy one as it has navigation and can't afford the garmin 800. Does it do the job or will I ultimately end up buying twice. It looks a good buy but I have read mixed reviews online .

Works for me, although I have not yet used the navigation elements. Only thing to note is that it does not use the 1/4 turn twist lock fitment and so is not compatible with the Garmin mounts.Allez Triple (hairy with mudguards) - FCN 4

Am I right in thinking that you cannot load free OSM maps on these Brytons?
If this is true, it may affect your decision (it might not!)
I read somewhere that older versions could load osm maps but then they signed a deal with navteq which locks people in to buying maps via them.
Very open to being corrected on this if it's not true!
Any Bryton users able to clarify?
ThanksAlan
