Does anyone know how I can see how much data useage I have used. I have 500mb limit a month and want to see how much I am using.

Am I right in thinking that when I connect by wi-fi that I'm not using the data useage? When I connect by 3g that I am?

thanks in advance!

  • Yes your right you only use your data allowance when connected to 3g. Most of the network providers have their own app to track your usage, check for an app from your provider on the google play store.

3G Watchdog is a decent app for keeping track of your data allowance and it can also warn you when getting close etc.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

I previously used Data Counter Widget, currently using Avast (which does quite a few other things):

Both these apps meter 3G and wifi separately.

3g watchdog was used on my handset till I bought DUMeter but the use of data counter is rather pointless for me given that I have 2TB to play with a month.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
