Felt F95

My Felt F95 which I got at the start of the year as my first road bike, currently wearing her winter coat:

56cm Frame Size
9spd Sora 11-25 paired with FSA Tempo compact chainset, Alex R500 wheels, Vittoria Zaffiro 23s, Shimano R540 pedals, all pretty standard stuff.

Been limited by weather and colds as to how much I've managed to get out on her so far, but loved every second. Probably spent as much time cleaning/tinkering afterwards as riding haha!

    Got one of these just as we hit Autumn as my first road bike having been on mountain bikes for years. Love it too, great entry level bike and really enjoying being out on it. Can't wait for Spring as im a pansy and hate riding in the cold.

    Looks really good.

    Is it a matt/powder grey finish sorry hard to tell with the grey door behind & 7 hours in front of a laptop screen today!

    I've changed my mind then from good, its been upgraded to bike porn.

    Personally I change the white bar tape on my Felt to black, but each to their own.
    Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

    Haha thanks! I think the change to black tape will definitely happen once I put a bit of wear into it, white tape is looking grubby already. Luckily the pic doesn't really show it!

    Mine lasted about 4 weeks before it looked a mess, just down to my gloves which weren't even black.
    Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

    I have the 2012 edition of this, great entry level bike and is doing a solid job. Wasn't crazy about the microshift gearing so glad to see that's been changed. I also went to black bar tape after about a month as the white just looked so dirty.

    wondering if you have more feedback on your Felt bikes? I'm currently choosing between Felt F95 www.wiggle.co.uk/felt-f95-sora-2013/ and Battaglin S11 www.wiggle.co.uk/battaglin-s11-sora-2013/ (with discounts price is roughly the same, Felt costing 25 more).

    And by heck is it good to get them flappy plastic things off! Changed the bar tap to black now as well and got some nicer bottle cages (Elite Custom Race) and shod her in Conti GP4 Seasons. Thinking about wheels now!

    Sorry to leave you hanging. I am extremely happy with my Felt, no complaints. Stable and forgiving without being boring. Geometry is on the racier side (i.e compared to the Felt Z95 which is targeted as more of a sportive bike), although I can't give much in the way of a comparison from experience. Only thing I have changed from original spec is a switch to a 11-28 cassette instead of the 11-25 although that would come down to personal preference/location. To be honest I rarely need the 28 but it's nice to know it's there and I actually prefer the ratio steps on the 11-28 cassette.

    my first road bike and currently still riding it.. i have no plan upgrading to carbon frame yet but if there is ..it should be felt F5 .. coz i am in love with this bike..

    bought this ride on March but after several rides.. i feel that the sora 9s + FSA tempo combination didn't match very well.. so after surveying.. i bought used unit Campagnolo Xenon shifter + mirage brake brake set+ Veloce crank and arm + and miche 12-29 cassette (but it does not fit with my AmainT wheelset so i bought a new 10s ultegra cassette ..)

    love the way campy shifter works and the shifting is really smooth now.. :D ..anyway .. after few spending on the bike.. it still under price of carbon but it performs well so i think i will stick to this frame for sometime
