cateye V3

just wondered if anyone out there could help me i have purchased a cateye V3,and it seems to get through batteries with ease in the sender unit,was wondering if this was because of 1 battery sending two signals,and this is normal for this computer

    I have one. bought it about a year ago
    1000's of miles in total
    never changed the battery in either unit.
    send it back - must be a short circuit somewhere.

    Same story for me as Rocco : sounds like you've got a duff unit.
