Hi All, i'm looking at buying some new forks and the Marzocchi's are getting good reviews. Has anybody got the Marzocchi 55R, if so are they adjustable height. Also the marzocchi 55rc3 evo ti 170mm are getting top marks in the reviews are they worth the £400 extra than the 55R's as they are only about120 grams lighter.
Cheers for any help.

What bike is it for? And what type of riding do you do?0

I have an old 55R and it is a good fork. And yes the rc3 evo ti is definately worth the extra £400! There is much more to it than weight savings, but if you don't need the extra stuff then stick with the R.0

its for a santa cruz nomad. i mostly do natural single track but am just getting into light downhill and small jumps0

Got a 2008 55r, it had major issues until the cartridge was opened under warranty, subsequently changed it from 140 to 160mm and very happy with it. Simple, tough and smooth.0

97th choice, 2008 is a few years old now , have the stanchions got much wear?0

No, still in great condition. Been through about five oil changes and kitchen table servicing.0

thanks for replies.good news about stanchions lasting well. my old fox have got wear by the rubber seals. need to do more research to see if evo's are worth the extra cash.0

winstanleys bikes is well worth checking out. massive savings on loads of forks just now. noticed some rockshox domains the other day going for £200! 180mm dont know if they would be too much travel for your nomad but definately huge savings on price!0

Thanks CB75. i'll be checking out winstanleys straight away. I don't know much about the domains but i think the nomad can take a 180 fork max. Cheers.0

was just looking at some reviews of the domains on here and they seem to be decent enough forks and if you can save £300 then you could be on to a bargain!0
