Happy days, I can forget about it as an idea then. Thinking of going 2 x 10 so a clutch rear mech might be in order, tbh if I stay 3 x 10 I think it would benefit from one.0

A clutch rear mech alone won't stop the chain dropping at all, if that's what you're buying it for. They simply reduce chainslap (which you should have already taken measures to prevent ie chainstay protector).0

Really? Unless I am missing something isn't that exactly what they are touted as eliminating
From a bike radar review;
"we never once came close to losing a chain even after countless jumps and eye-watering descents when we were chasing current and ex-pro riders and clearly in well over our heads."0 -
Cant you go get creative and make a seat tube mounted device? something that clamps on like a front mech but allows a lower roller to be used0

As soon as you backpedal the chain will drop off, if it was going to drop.0

Sram x9 type 2 looks good value at under 70 quid.0

Think there was a thing on the frontpage here about a company making an iscg adapter for pressfit frames, C-Sixx maybe.
Edit: yep, here: http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/csixx-doubler-chainguide-and-iscg-adaptor-36289/. Still lokks like it would depend very much on what the frame looks like around the BB.0 -
the problem with that is the Trances lower sus linkages. there may be contact issues."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

That csixx thing looks the ticket but unfortunately I think nick is correct, the maestro suspension is only about 5mm away from the BB at one point.0

Don't Sram make a Pressfit to threaded BB adaptor? Surely that could be used to fit an ISCG adaptor plate with a normal threaded BB. It's meant to come with green loctite that makes it permanent or you can just instal it without it for a "temporary" fix.0
