Crank Brothers Cobalt xc/race wheelset

Less than a year ago, i purchased my 1st bike since i was a child. I got a CUBE LTD CC 2012. Before i purchased the bike, as i knew nothing about bikes, i started to learn as much as i could on the internet. I had upgrades already in mind, finishing kit, breaks and wheels etc.
After seeking advice on the bikeradar forum, it became clear that most people would only bother with changing the wheels. I had a set of Superstars pointed out to me at the time.
Once the bike arrived, i was more than happy with it as it was, and so i left it alone. Almost a year on, the bike is as good as new, but i would like to make some upgrades now, if anything just for added interest.
The normal progression would be to get a new bike, but for me to consider a new bike, it would have to be a significant jump up in class, and that puts me looking at a top bike for thousands of pounds. At this stage, i'm not really worthy of such a bike, so some upgrades would be more sensible to see me through for another year or so.
The first upgrade i would like to make and the most important is the wheelset. I have the latest xt hubs on mine wich seem great, but i'm told are too heavy. I just looked on the net and there's two wheelsets wich caught my eye, the Crank Brothers Cobalt xc wheelset for 3-4 hundred or so, thats half price, and the Easton EA90 xc wheelset for 3 hundred and 70, again half price.
Can anyone offer any info on either of these sets? Or offer any suggestions on any other wheelsets or upgrades of any kind, bars/posts etc? I know very little about this stuff so any help would be a godsend.
Thanks!
By the way, i have a 26"... that's wheelsize, not something else..... sadly

If nothing is particularly annoying you just keep the money for the timebeing. I'd then save up for another bike if that is what I wanted in the long run, but know that I had the cash if I wanted new wheels.
Those Crank Bros. wheels seem to polarise opinion though.0 -
I'd not buy factory wheels - you can hand build better (be that lighter, stronger, more reliable) wheels for less. Some DT240s on Crests or something would be far better IMO.0

So what do your current wheels weigh?I don't do smileys.
