Is this a first for a Uk sportive - starting and finishing at a brewery?
Start/Finish
Lancaster Brewery
Lancaster Leisure Park
Exiting news about our new start - finish venue and sponsors.
We are always trying to improve our event by listening to feedback from yourselves.
Its true Williamsons Park is a very grand and picturesque venue but for our purposes it was a bit too spread out.
In our search to find a more compact, user friendly facility we were drawn, cant think why, to our local brewery.
Lancaster Brewery, as well as making some very fine beer, has a cracking visitor centre in which they have offered to, very generously, host us on June the 2nd.
To hardened Le T Riders you cant miss it, just a quarter of a mile from the old start at Willy Park.
They will be open for signing on, providing tea/coffee, and then providing soup and Rolls at the finish.
Negotiations are also under way as to whether we might be able to provide a sample of their aforementioned merchandise, for you to take away after the event, just trying to gauge what interest there might be in this.
Knowing how dedicated most athletes are these days the beer could obviously be left for the organisers and you could go away feeling good, knowing that your recovery and training was being maximised.
Will keep you posted on how negotiations are going.

I've entered the long one - gulp!
I know most of the climbs from my student days at Lancaster, but I've never done them all in the same ride.0
