Looking at getting a phenom pro but it has oval carbon rails. Can anyone recommend a seatpost that will work for it? Can't find any useful info on the spesh site about their own seatpost.

Is that not a saddle? In which case any stem will work with it I would have thought!!

Summat like a Thomson or anything with a similar clamping mechanism

Regarding a seatpost, I would think most will be fine, cant see spesh would mark themselves out of a large market by making rails that didnt fit the vast majority of posts.

Have you had a word with your local LBS, they might be able to shed some light on the situation!

I've already shed light on the situation.

Side clamping posts don't work with carbon rails (unless you get a special clamp for them)
  • Cheers guys. That was helpful. I have ended up going for the Expert, titanium rails, keeps things simpler and as I'm a bit of a Frank Spenser it should survive a bit better!

For future reference this thread has a list. Plenty that don't work, but with an increasing number of carbon rails out there most can be made to work!
