Riding a Tour stage the day before.

For a friend's stag do, we're intending to go to Paris for the final stage of the 2013 tdf, and rise the stage on the Saturday;

Is this feasible? I assume the roads will be open to the public (we might give the last few kms a swerve!)

Are there detailed maps of the route available on line anywhere?

That was Friday afternoon about 3pm last week. Pretty brave cycling round that. Very early morning start?

My father, who knows Paris very well, strongly advised me to stay away from the Champs Elysée and the Arc de Triomphe in my car but it was no worse than central London so if you're used to cycling in a big city it may be all right. Having said that, the French don't seem to get out of bed that early though so an early morning ride might be best.

We were thinking to avoid the last few km, unless the roads are closed to traffic, open to bikes, on the Saturday in advance of Sunday's stage.

I was trying to ascertain if the roads will be open to ride on the Saturday earlier in the stage. I know they are in the Alps, but was wondering if it might be different in Paris?
