Looks like one of our entrants wont be able to make the ride, so if anybody wants to buy their place (£15) then they can. Event is sold out and the weather forecast looks good.http://www.snookcycling.wordpress.com - Reports on Cingles du Mont Ventoux, Alpe D'Huez, Galibier, Izoard, Tourmalet, Paris-Roubaix Sportive & Tour of Flanders Sportive, Amstel Gold Xperience, Vosges, C2C, WOTR routes....0

Brilliant event, very well organised and a pretty tough route! 10/10 from me.
Buttertubs was closed due to snow, so the organisers arranged an altered route across the the feed station in Askrigg and the total route length was around 58miles, with some punishing climbs in the last 25 miles. The weather wasnt brilliant, but i would have taken it beforehand - dont think we got rained on once.
We were in the last 20% of riders to set off/finish and there was loads of food left at the feed station - sausage rolls, flapjacks, cakes, tomato soup, tea, coffee and energy drinks! Really couldnt have been any better. On completing to ride we were treated to a massive baked potato with beans and again unlimited amounts of cake and flapjack (and a cheeky pint of Timothy Taylor from the cricket club bar).
Looking forward to Novembers addition!

Agreed, great day out and my first sportive. Disappointed about Buttertubs but they did a great job on re routing. Last half was a lot more hilly than id expected, with that last 200m into Richmond coming as a surprise! The edge500 clocked about 5k of climbing compared to the 3.5k quoted on the original route. Doing the Cheshire cat 100 next week so a good warm up for that!0

Does anyone have a route map of the amended course. I would love to know where the diversion actually took us. A great event especially the catering. I hope to be back in November and next year.0
