Hi,
I've just bought a 2006 Marin Alpine Trail - doing some research I found the following review on bikeradar:
http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... rail-10131 but when looking on the Marin site for 2006 (or even 2005 and 2007) there seems to be no mention of the Alpine Trail, only the Attack Trail, Wolf Ridge and Rock Springs.
Does anyone know why and where I can find some original spec info etc.
Cheers.

According to Bikepedia there wasn't one between 2004 (full sus) and 2007 (hardtail).

Hi, the link on my first post is to a bikeradar test for the 2006 model (with Tora forks so i know its the correct one.) As RevellRider suggests, maybe the uk had a different range hence its not shown on the Marin.com site0

Didn't Marin stick different names on the same frames from time to time? Wolf Ridge and Something Trail springs to mindUncompromising extremist0

You mean the Attack Trail? The Rock Springs was the same frame as well. They were all Quad Tarra frames in 2006, they were possibly in different groups at some point though. I know they were all the same in 2008 as well since that's when my Wolf Ridge is from. It's just another way of stating which spec the full bike is instead of just numbers or a different name on the end. I've had a look on the UK site and on Bikepedia and it isn't showing up on either, there is a 2004 Alpine Trail though so it was listed at some point but this isn't of any help to you.
If you are just after the original specs, the Bikeradar review has them all under "full specification" although those forks are Marzocchi MX Pro's. I'm just going to assume it was a special edition but maybe if you emailed Marin you would be able to get some definitive answers?0
