Hello
Any local (New Forest) chaps who have wives / girlfriends interested in cycling, but who don't fancy a testosterone-filled muddy race over huge rock gardens?!! Look no further....
I’m organising a ladies only easy bike ride on Saturday 23rd February along Hampton Ridge in the New Forest. Meeting at 10am, the plan is to ride along Hampton Ridge to the Royal Oak at Fritham where we'll stop for a coffee before riding back. Although the ride is off-road is is NOT mountain biking and is non-technical! We should be back easily by 1pm at the latest.
The ride should be ideal for beginners and ladies who just fancy getting out on their bikes for a social, easy and fun bike ride. It's free and all ladies are very welcome irrespective of riding experience, fitness etc – all they need is a working bike, suitable clothing and a helmet. As this ride is on gravel cycle paths it is NOT suitable for road bikes - hybrids and all kinds on mountain bike should be fine
This ride forms part of the Breeze initiative by British Cycling, the aim of which is to simply get more ladies having fun on their bikes. For more information on Breeze and to sign up please look here http://www.breezebikerides.com and search for the New Forest ride on the 23rd!
Thanks 8)
