Remove Forks from old Rockhopper

Afternoon All, I am trying to remove the forks from this 2001 vintage Specialized Rockhopper as shown on attached photo. I have removed the tension adjustment bolt, the stem clamp bolts and the stem and expected the forks to drop out as they do on my more modern bikes. But they are held in place, and appear to be held rather than just jammed. Please can someone excuse my ignorance and explain what I am missing and how I go about removing them.

Thanks very much. Job done. Just needed to remove the centre wedge a per the instructions.
