Looks like no racing today & possibly a withdrawal from the race for Garmin then - http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/13902 ... stage.aspx
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

    Would it not have been better to back the lorry against a wall, rather than a car!

    No alarm/security measure, or driver/security sleeping in cab?
  • This would have stopped it;

    Amazing how brazen these thieves are though....
  • It is a great device - however I do know a local garage that was broken into 5 times in 3 years and the last 2 years they had this system fitted.

    Just goes to show what they say about a determined thief and all that.

    Surprised the race organisers don;t have a secure compound as part of their race village where the trucks can be left. But then again this probably would only work with larger races who attract more money from sponsors.

    We have this and it works a treat, you lose orientation when surrounded by smoke.
    Bad news for the team. :cry:
    Living MY dream.
  • Interesting from the photo that only the bikes were taken, so looks like they knew what they were after & had a plan.

    Look out for a group of masked riders wearing black and white striped jerseys joining the race halfway round on Cervelo's.
  • It's getting pretty lawless in the South of France these days. Just a few days ago a bunch of 20 kids managed to stop a TGV not far from Marseille, with the intention of robbing all those on board, but they didn't manage to get in. Maybe they're all now setting personal bests on Strava with their new R5's.......
  • Maybe now with the R5's they will not need to stop the train just slow it down and board a la mission impossible/fast and the furious style!
