Canyon waiting times??

Wht does cw9 mean under availability for a canyon bike? Does it mean there is a nine week wait + an extra week for delivery?

    It means calender week 9 which is week beginning 25 Feb

    Rightly or wrongly I thought otherwise and bought a higher spec 2012 Cube, delivered in 2 days and costing £200 less.

    My only frustration so far with Canyon is that when I ordered my bike it was in stock, so I expected dispatch within 2 weeks.

    After 2 weeks I hadn’t received any further info so I chased it up. I got a stock email back saying that due to a supplier delay the delivery had been pushed back by 3 weeks. Was a bit annoyed they hadn’t proactively made contact to tell me about this.

    IMO it’s the responsibility of the retailer to keep a customer informed about delays to their order.

    And one of the reasons I opted for Canyon was because they had immediately available stock. So it’s disappointing that I’ll now end up waiting for at least 5 weeks.

    It was an MTB, actually, so maybe I posted on the wrong forum but this is the one I use most and I hoped I wouldn't be found out.
    I was looking at the Canyon Al 6.0 but ended up with a Cube LTD sl.
    Reading Bobbyd's post, I'm glad I did -I'd have been V. pizzed off if that had happened to me.

    Their MTB's do get rave reviews but the Cubes are probably on a par. Surprised they don't bring out a cross bike.

    FYI,

    Just received my Canyon CF, ordered last tuesday & dipatched on friday. Not too bad I think.

    It's an Ultimate CF that I'm waiting for. As it was in stock I was hoping for a rapid delivery like you, but I'm having to wait patiently instead....

    By any chance did you order the VCLS 2.0 seat post? I think that would've delayed my order but I decided against it.

    Mine's an Ultimate CF 9.0 with the standard VCLS seatpost not the 2.0.

    At least the weather and the roads are still too dodgy to take a decent bike out, that's the thought that's keeping me sane whilst I twiddle my thumbs waiting for the dispatch confirmation.

    Well I've built up the bad boy & it looks great, fits me well & I actually really like the white seat & bar tap on the carbon frame. Weekend cant come quickly enough (forecast is cold but, crucially, dry up here).

    Re the seat post, I actually seriously considered the 2.0, but in the end decided that effectively paying £200 for a seat post was a bit extravagent. Even if its really comfortable I'd rather MTFU & not be ruined for all other bikes.

    My bike is due to arrive at CW15. That is the 8th of April to the 15th. Will hopefully see it before then! Can't wait! :D

    Just received the ultimate AL. Love it! I bought it for racing and commuting but think I actually prefer it to the carbon bling I have so much so I'm tempted to stick the Super Record on it.
