bikes on euro trains

Does anyone have any experience on taking their bike on a euro train in July ish down to the Alps, say Bourg

Do i need wheels, do I need to chnge and do I need to book?

You will need wheels otherwise your bike is going to be pretty useless. Sorry couldn't resist being a prick. But being more helpful, a quick google search gave me this http://www.eurostar.com/UK/uk/leisure/t ... cycles.jsp obviously if you want to go to the alps you need to check the details on the TGV website too
