Evening... are front chain rings 9 or 10 speed specific??

yes and no. some makers have done there own special 10spd ones while others say theirs will work with 8/9/10spd.
biggest issue is the bolt patten and BCD."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
