New Frame - things to consider?

Hi there,
I have a Felt F55 road-bike which has a DuraAce/Ultegra Groupset. The aluminium frame is a little too racy for me and so I'm thinking about getting a new carbon frame and fork which would give me a slightly more upright position. Aside from getting the right size, do I need to consider any compatibility issues if I want to use my current components?

You're consciously going down a road that I unintentionally travelled, for the better (does that make sense).
I wanted a new bike, had a Via Nirone, which wasn't an uncomfortable bike, but fancied a carbon. Ribbles New Sportive appealed to me for various reasons and I knew the head tube would be higher, therefor more upright/comfortable.
Best thing I ever did....having spent less time on the bike over the last couple years, I was looking to rejuvenate my flagging stamina / interest etc. Because I can now spend far more time comfortably on the drops on the Sportive, I found myself achieving very acceptable average speeds considering my loss of fitness.. Ironically, the Bianchi was probably more aerodynamic, but I never rode on the drops. Now,the Sportive is less aerodynamic, yet I ride more aerodynamically on it. I am mid 50s BTW and a bit less supple that I used to be.

TBH, I wonder why every average cyclist doesn't go for a sportive geometry by default, you gain lots of comfort, but sacrifice so little.

Things to consider most things will not fit unless you have checked and confirmed that they will fit.

So check,

Headset
Seat post
BB
Front mech
Seat clamp.
Stem.

Many thanks for the advice; that's a few things I hadn't thought of!

Centimani - coincidentally it's the Ribble New Sportive that I'm thinking about getting!

My setup was...
Standard Rodi wheelset, heavy, look quite good, varying reports regarding their strength. The certainly roll smoothly, but they came straight off to put my wheels on.
Veloce groupset. Been very good but if you're likeme and like to maintain and strip your stuff, avoid Powertorque cranks. Too expensive to get the tools.
ITM Triango carbon bars, stem and seat post, I like the look.
Standard saddle, not that comfy but I'm getting used to it (after six months)

Riding it is lovely, I can't say it's the prettiest bike, I personally like curvy top tubes so the Sportives staright tube took some getting used to visually, but that's just a personal thing.

Build quality and time...bang on delivery time quoted, all complete and easy to setup, no problems in the time I've had it, the only negatives were small ones...one of the cable mounts under the top tube is slightly skewed, unless its meant to be that way to aid cable direction. Also paint finish at the top of the seat tube ends too soon IMO, leaving a black line between the frame and the seat post...but I'm being REALLY nit picky now.

No regrets whatsoever,I love it.

I'm a bit a newbie when it comes to all this but currently I have a 'Band' front mech but the potential new frame takes a 'Braze'. Would I be able to fit the Band front mech anyway or will I have to get a Braze front mech?

I suspect that there may be more questions to come!
