I "think" I recorded my ride today on the edge800 and wondered how/if I can get this from the Garmin and onto the pc so that I can keep a record of how im doing.

  • Easiest way would be to download Garmin Training Centre from the Garmin site.
The challenge might be finding it on their site. Worth looking though as it good

  • Very easy - connect your garmin to your pc and upload the info on the garmin connect website.
You can also download the info as a gpx. file if you have the gpx. software download.
Join Strava for free and you have even more options

    Enjoy! :D

If you don't want to use the internet then Garmin Training Centre is fairly good. Basic and no longer supported by Garmin. On the internet the first obvious one is Garmin Connect. Strava for a bit of fun and the one I use for race analysis and course creation, ridewithgps.com. All are free to use but Strava and rwgps offer premium features. I have never got my head round Basecamp.

Both offer 'segments' Strava being the most popular for this. I find rwgps is better for reviewing a ride as it presents the data better and on a bigger map. It has a reasonable 'compare' feature and I find it better for creating courses.
