This is my new Frame, a Carbonal Modest SL, I have transfered some of the parts off my Rock Lobster, and added some shiny new ones.

That looks great!0

Very nice frame never heard of berg though ?0
-
Really nice looking frame that.
Is it the same "rubberized" finish you get on some of the IBIS bikes?
Great spec too. You planning to do much racing on it?
Out of curosity, did you happen to weigh the frame on its own?0 -
Thats just stunning and a fine example of why hardtails are so much more aesthetically pleasing that a FS!0
-
Never heard of Berg before but I guess looking the rest of the spec it must be a quality frame, that is a stunning bike.0

Frame is just Matt 3k Toray 800 Carbon, when I weighed it with the mech hanger in place it came out at 1080g.
Got it on eBay through these guys http://bergcarbon.com/. Apparently a pre production model.
Also got a set of 2013 Rock Shox SID RCT3 to fit on it.
I currently don't race as fitness is not there, maybe this year though.0 -
I'm another one that's never heard of Berg, looks the part though. Cracking spec and impressive weight too!0

Fitted the new forks today, 2013 Rock Shox SID RCT3.

Why run the Stem inverted with a heap of spacers underneath? It's a Sunday Roadie's trick I've seen to attempt to retain some proper aesthetic on their high front ends, but no need on an MTBMy Yeti ARC - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129091750

I ran this stem and the Ronin fork on a previous frame, swapped to this frame which is tapered so it needed more spacers, now have the RS fork and I am happy with the height, also the logo on the stem would be upside down, which could possibly cause a 'right old kerfuffle' on here.0 -
Fair Play
Chez I wasn't getting Aggro before you jump on the defensive, was just a question. My Yeti ARC - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129091750 -

Have removed the Berg transfers for a more stealthy look, also fitted a new Trailbright Ceramic Headset and BB.
Had to change the Quick Releases also as the KCNC did not hold, which resulted in the back wheel coming away around Swinley!, the MT Zoom ones have been faultless.0 -
That bike is bang tidy mate how much was the frame ?0
-
I got it for £290, that was through EBay though, the seller was Berg Carbon, they don't seem to be about now, the frame is actually a Carbonal Modest SL
http://www.carbonality.com/carbon-bike- ... st-sl.html
Rides very well and is finished perfectly.0 -
Now with New Ultimate 90mm Stem, I went down from the 130mm to this one at 90mm, feels a lot less stretched out and allowed me to loose some spacers underneath, very well made Stem.

Well I was going to say your inverted stem and mountain of spacers looked stupid, and that your bar ends were at a daft angle , and you've dealt with both of those, well done!
Wheels are a bit small though ;-)0 -
Bahh, just when I thought I'd cracked it, well I guess I had better burn it, wheels first!0
-
Too many chainrings as well!0
-
Looks really nice man!!
Wish i was light enough to ride a carbon frame haha!!0
