Over Summer (downunder) I've been running dual 2013 Diablo Mk4's on my helmet, complemented by a MaxX-D on the handlebar. Night MTB has never been as much scarey fun!
I've written up a review of the 2013 Diablo Mk4 along with a few other Exposure bits and pieces

Great video mate, and really good informative review. Nice work0

Nice review, but they are still very expensive for the amount of light.0

Why get that when you could buy a 1200lumen lamp with charger for £30?0

Why would anyone buy a Mercedes over a Vauxhall?
Diablo has better beam spread, ease of use, reliability and accesories, no worries over battery quality or charging them safely. With the tripple battery you can have over 4 hours max burn time, or 12 hours on medium for the sake of a cable to your seatpack or backpack.
I've used the torches and still take them along as spares and when the wife dusts her bike off. They are perfectly adequate and pretty amazing compared to lights of a few years back but not as good as my Diablo. They are cheap torches after all and even with the OP reflector the beam is not as good,
Is the difference worth the extra expense? No, the price is well out of proportion for the goods - especially when you take into account the extra batteries. I was lucky enough to get my mk2 diable & tripple cell battery for free so my opinion isnt about trying to make me feel better about the expense. Exposure and others are very expensive for what they are, but if you happen to be flush enough that the money makes no difference to you then I'd go for the Diablo over a torch.0 -
Better beam spread than what though? ;-). Does depend on the actual light. I wouldn't say Exposure are all that reliable either. But up to the consumer, if you have the money then why not. But I'll stick to my 2500 lumen triple XML torch that I paid £25 for, is incredible!0

£150.
I'd rather have something from magicshine for that money.0 -
Falls into the same category as the Orange 5 then lol!
£150 for a torch?!

Who cares about beam pattern when you can set fire to the rider in front?!0
-
That is before the torch sets itself on fire of course.0

Should keep you nice and warm on a cold ride though.I don't do smileys.

I use a Diablo (m3) on my head when MTBing, for me it's worth the extra just for the convenience. Until recently I used a cheapy Chinese light on the bars which was fine to (but then an external battery is less hassle there) although the difference in output in the real world was much smaller vs how they compared on paper. I've since swapped to a smudge light for the bars and it's great, still planning to use the Diablo on my head until it breaks though.0

at 650g you would probably kill somebody if you smacked them over the head with that... nice that its dual purpose though0 -
you wouldnt need to bash anyone over the head you could vaporise them LOL0

The triple ones are good enough mind, will easily light a football pitch up at night!0
