Ribble prices

I was looking at ribble this morning and had a couple of items in mind.
Got home tonight and they email me saying extra 10% off but they have put prices up to cover the extra money off.

    They are all at it Wiggle/CRC/Merlin etc. Have a Sale then put the source price up.

    It is not limited to Ribble.

    Ribble are the worst of the companies IMO. Prices aren't exactly low, plus when I ordered a Thompson Seatpost from them, a week later they rang me and told me they didn't have any in stock. That was the only thing I've ordered from them...

    I thought there were regulations to stop retailers doing that?

    Drop-shipping is quite common. Tredz is probably the worst offender.

    I never got the seatpost though. The thing that annoyed me was the fact they made me wait a week and THEN told me they didn't have any...

    Everytime i have ordered off of tredz they e mail me to say its not in stock,they are always refunding my funds
    dont bother with them now.

    Ribble's listings are not always synced with their stock, but they aren't worse than tredz. Every time I've ordered something from their site when the price looked competitive, they've come back with a no stock message and offered an alternative at similar price (but not as discounted as the original item). As an example, last autumn, I tried to buy a Cube ltd hardtail from them. I ordered the discounted model and they took payment. Then they called back to offer the lower model. I ordered the model above and asked for a similar level of discount as the original. They checked and said they had one and it was sorted. Then someone else rang back and said no go, and offered the lower model again. I don't even look at that website any more because I don't believe any stock or price info on it.
