First Crash on the road bike and still trying to work out whether MTBing crashes are worse or just a different sort of pain lol
Im going to bore you with story sorry..
Horrible day, typical british weather, lots of rain and very very windy.
I'm on my way out and have to follow a road diversion to go through town centre, of which the rods arent tarmac but the bricky stuff, which was also kindly covered in diesel from the lorries going to a local construction site
As im going around corner, about 15/18mph rear wheel hits diesel and slips away, nothin i can do but fall over (non crank side, thank god) and slide over road.
Bikes ok...im bruised and road rashed but all good, luckily the driver on the opposite side saw me and braked, he looked as i got up then drove off lol.
Back to topic.....my bibs have a rip, any way i can stitch them together? or is it time for a new pair of bibs then

diesel is a real bitch.
Tough luck, but get some new shorts! lycra doesn't hold up well in repair. Theoretically you could patch them up with some synthetic (elastic) thread but that'd become your secondary shorts!0 -
Invest in rapha or Assos so that you have crash protection. You break it, they fix it for free.0

Indeed or alternatively buy another make and you can buy 2 or 3 for the price of 1.
So if you damage them you throw them away and get brand new again and still be quids in.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
wetsuit repair material can patch lycra shorts
it's iron-on, do it from the inside, the patch material is soft and thin, so stays comfy, as long as you take care to line up the edges of the tear the results look good
i patched a pair and used them for daily commute for over two yearsmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0
