Hope you don't mind a quick rant...
I was waiting in the ASL area at the lights. They were red. Then they turned green. It was clear, so I went.
As I went, some numpty decided that he was going to cross in front of me anyway, against the red pedestrian light.
So he saw me, jumped back, and as I passed in front of him, shouted at me:
"Don't jump the lights!"
AAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH.
**** the lot of em.

I was once descending on a road at decent speed and a woman who clearly saw I was coming decided to cross the road anyways (nowhere close to a crosswalk). This happens quite often but the people usually just freeze as I swerve around them or even apologize. This one decided to start shouting at me instead. I was so pissed with her reaction I turned back up, dismounted and explained to her what crosswalks were for like she was a baby. She was really embarrassed after that.
There's idiots everywhere unfortunately (whether it's inside cars, on bikes, or just walking).0 -
Last year in a race was coming into transition & they had a nice crossing point but no marshall, so trusting of them to think the general public who have come to watch race would actually consider the racers might be going (a) pretty fast & (b) on the course not really give way to pedestrians.
Anyway some muppet with a small yappy dog in a pink coat on an extendable lead decided to let his dog cross the race course on the extend part of the lead first. Needless to say the dog was rather scared of the man on the bike approaching at quite some speed & trying to brake/skid as I didn;t really trust a full on bunny hop over on lead on my TT rig.
Poor dog quite literally wet itself & I ended up getting shouted at by the man for being in the way or however he put it.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -
I don't get it - isnt this post about "Can't Reading win!!"The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -

This has even happen on the Tour de France. Looked like the French were not fussed.
