Just arrived this morning and I've had a great day building it up while doing conference calls. Hoping to take it out for a quick spin round the block before it gets dark!

I know the Ribble look is a bit marmite, but even though I am biased i think it is a thing of beauty :D

  • Looks great! Youll have a blast when your out on your first ride :}
The Mavic Elite is a great wheel set. Im so glad I didnt replace them in a moment of madness for some deep rims.

Nice bike! Also liking the studio lighting! ;)

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

It was a busy day to day - a two hour mountain bike orienteering event this morning, then a dash home to give the new bike a spin before the Rugby.... I'm knackered now :D

So how does it ride....? It’s awesome it’s hard not to sound like a bike mag journo, but: The ride is just lovely, it feels nimble under me, but still delivers the power. Pulling away from red lights I seem to be up to speed about twice as fast as before. The frame/wheels are doing a great job of smoothing out a lot of road noise as well. The Di2 shifting is such fun – i was changing gears just for the hell of it – quiet, smooth, fast, precise even under load.

And it's not just subjective either. Given I rode a 40k loop i usually ride fresh, and this was on the back of that MBTO event this morning... I just set 6 x PBs on strava segments. And I was thinking to myself as I went round. "Nice gentle run this, everything seems to be bedding in well" I wasn't pushing hard at all!

I'm convinced that any similar new bike would have been just as impressive as I'm comparing it with a £300 Carrera lol But I am no stranger to top end MTBs so I do have some kind of benchmark to compare it with.

I forgot to say Ribble delivered 10 days after I placed the order, so as far as I'm concerned they did a great job in what must be a busy time for them.

That's just stunning Ribble really do know how to build bikes.
Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.
  • Extremely nice!

    Looks very good.
Ribble make nice bikes but OP also takes great photos. He could make that awful Merida that Lampre use look appealing.

Ha! Thanks - but look closely at the first and the 180 deg cranks :(

And the front wheel valve isn't at 6 o'clock

I need to get better at bike pics!! Might even re-shoot that one lol

Nice bike! But I suggest you take this pic down.

You have a dust cap on your valve - therefore you are worse than Hitler.

Damn, damn, damn and bugger - rule #60, and i missed it

I thank your for highlighting this humiliating aberration, and humbly beg your forgiveness, I will leave the offending image visible as a mark of personal penance for a period not less that a year and a day.

And leave the dust caps on so as to upset people who always feel that they have to live by other peoples rules
