Last night on BBC2 Culture Show : Design Special they had a piece on hardware hacking with a feature on Sugru, a mouldable, settable silicone rubber that sticks to anything. I normally keep a close eye on useful stuff but this one passed me by completely.
Have any of you used Sugru, esp on bike projects?
I can think of a few applications: re-profiling STI lever covers, anti-bash guards, anti-rattle thingies, lamp repairs and mods.

I have a few ideas for making the buttons of digital radios bigger and redder.

I think i'll make a pair of six spoke hoops out of the stuff. Just think, no tyres, no inner tubes, no punctures and one helluva cooshty ride... bit like an afternoon in bed with V Feltz, come to think of it.
