Morning all

Does anyone know how big a difference there is between a 2009 Focus Cayo frame and a 2012 Focus Izalco frame?

I currently ride a Cayo which i have had from new, with pretty much full ultegra groupset and mavic ksyrium elite wheels.
I went in to my lbs yesterday and they have an incredible offer on a 2012 Izalco 3.0 (on offer for £1495) with Sram force.
I wasnt even in the market for a new bike but after seeing that i am seriously considering getting it.

Anyway, i dont really want to buy it if its not a worthy upgrade (even though i love the look of it), so would appreciate some opinions, especially if you have the Izalco.

Many thanks

No, but if it makes you happy then go for it.

I have just bought a new bike a couple of months ago but when i go in my LBS i still have an urge for another new one.

If you don't mind me asking, where is the izalco for sale?

    I'd love to find a 2012 in 56

Would rather not say which my lbs is just yet. They only had 1 izalco in stock at 1495 so im hoping to get a deposit put down on it this weekend.

Looked around and apart from the one at wheelbase - http://www.wheelbase.co.uk/products/foc ... ro-3-c.htm
cant seem to find any in stock, let alone near the discounted price. So i say go for that one!
Trust me, in the flesh they are even nicer than in the pictures!
  • I got an Izalco Pro 3.0 for about the same price a couple of months ago, and it was a steal. Great bike, great value. If you have the funds, you won't be disappointed. On the other hand, if there's nothing wrong with your current ride, probably not a compelling reason to upgrade.

    £250 for a "PRO dispatch".

At ~£1950 i would be probably better waiting and getting the 2013 model locally
