Another good placing for Jules. La Pomme seem to have a particularly good squad for 2013

I hope we don't start pointing out Jules all the time. He is a convicted killer.

Pozzo, Voeckler and Rolland are all riding.

Haha, Frenchie you make me laugh! I've read your views on him and his crime, however I must say, If I had a drunken, abusive step-dad that battered and raped my mum, then I'd probably take a spade to his head as well.
  • Is that a Lotto continental team or riders from the main one ?
  • I hope we don't start pointing out Jules all the time. He is a convicted killer.

Is that not you imposing your own pre conceived ideas on the situation? He was only mentioned because of his win at GP Marseille and obviously has hit the season with good form

I'm thinking of starting a fan club for him

He could have a cracking 'signature' victory salute... swinging an imaginary spade with a mad grimace on your chops cerainly beats shooting pistols.

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

Some people are so blase about murder when not faced with it in reality. The same people that would faint if they got into a fist fight.

There is no excuse for murder in this case - even if he was defending himself or his mum, he could have taken the guy out then got the police to take him away.

Your making things sound easy Frenchie?!

    He was just a kid.

Also, if it's anything like Britain - conviction rates are not great for Domestic Violence, for various reasons including stockholm syndrome type symptoms of the victims. Also over here at least, the punishments are relatively minor. I see battered women every day through my work - shaking off their eveil husbands is not an easy task I can assure you. If I saw somebody viciously attacking my mother, I wouldn't be relying on the police to solve the issue, thats for sure.

I know it isn't easy to judge. I am just super anti-murder.

And no he wasn't a kid. Child soldiers are kids.

I'd also like to go publicly state for the record that I am also anti-murder. In my opinion it should be banned, as should the sale of all shovels, spades, pitchforks, hoes, strimmers, etc. Nasty, nasty business murder.

It wasn't murder though, it was manslaughter. There's quite a difference. If it was murder, he'd still be in prison.

You know nothing about it FF - saying something like that is rubbish unless you are fully acquainted with all the facts. I hasten to add that I know nothing about it, which is why I'll only comment on his cycling ability.

Don't go quoting facts you murder apologist you. Frenchie was all over this guy until he re-read the story and decided he was a cold blooded murdering bar steward.

Second in the U23 worlds RR, too, don't forget.
Speed without doubt, but maybe will struggle with endurance, as stages get longer as the season progresses.
