Evans cycles £5 off when join newsletter

How does this work, I've entered my email addy, should I receive an email from Evans cycles with a code to use as not recieved anything or is it taken off automatically when checking out?

    I don't even click a mouse for £5 off. Is the trouble to type 2 posts about it worth it?
