RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was on the GP 4 Seasons running at 110psi for the first time since the snow and ice last week. After being on Marathon Plus or Marathon Winters.. I felt like I was flying!

Back to the better commute times for the 12 miles and not being completely exhausted when I got to work!

Possibly not as bad as my ride home. Just as I got to the red lights on the steepest hill (probably about 13%) on my commute, a clumsy shift caused the rear mech cable to break. I was then trying to get moving again on said 13% on middle and smallest (38-13) which wasn't easy, not into a gusting headwind with added rain. At the next lights, the bike jammed solid when I tried to push off. This time the rear brake (shouldn't have been on anyway!) had pulled past the braking surface and onto the inner part of the rim (stupid canti geometry!). After I worked that out, I managed to get home on 28-13 mostly, fix the cable and re-adjust the brakes and then discover I had a drawing pin in the front tyre.

So don't give me your sulky kitten look!
