Which air compressor?

Having battled unsuccessfully this weekend with a new tyre not sealing, I think it's time to buy a cheap compressor.
Nowt expensive, as it won't get that much use, but with enough oomph to seat the beads and inflate my tyres.
Making this chore a nicer experience...
Any suggestions?

Main thing you need is volume not pressure, so a compressor with a reasonable tank would be the best bet.

Personally I'd buy either a 1.5 or 2hp pump on a 24 litre receiver as they are nice and portable but not toys that will explode after 3 goes

Generally any you can buy for £150 or so will be ok, as they are all much of a muchness at that price.

I'd also avoid oil less as hey use Teflon pistons and cylinder liners which don't last very long. (In the grand scheme of pumping tyres up the use will probably be very little, but no point buying something that is inferior imho)

Don't forgot an air pressure regulator to drop it to the right level.

Got one!... But, sorry twonks I got sucked into the oil less one (it had a load of accessories FREE! )
Got it home, set it up, and about 5 minutes later ll was well in the house... Yep, I'd inflated the beastly XR Mud, and also changed and inflated the front tyre, too.

I had to do a bit of Afro engineering on the inflator, as it was for a schrader valve! Luckily, I had a spare chuck, which I'd cut off an old track pump. I jammed this into the 'trigger mech' of the compressor one and held it in as I blew the tyres up.
Is there anyone that makes a proper fitting for this, or do I just hack the original gubbins of the recoil line and permanently attach mine?...

NB: Good tip... Don't stand near it, when you've forgotten you had one    near sh!t myself when it kicked in, again!
